Didula

About Didula

Didula is an internationally recognised guitarist, composer and instrumental performer whose music brings together the warmth of acoustic guitar with elements of flamenco, folk, fusion and contemporary instrumental music. Born in Grodno, Belarus, Didula discovered his connection with the guitar at just five years old and wrote his first compositions as a teenager. His musical identity was shaped further during his time in Spain, where he encountered flamenco and the rhythms, techniques and character of Spanish music that would go on to become an important part of his signature sound. His debut album, Flamenco, was released in 2000.

Over the course of his career, Didula has developed far beyond the traditional image of a solo guitarist. He leads a full live ensemble and creates expansive instrumental performances combining guitar with keyboards, percussion, bass, woodwinds and strings. His music has taken him onto international stages and into collaborations with acclaimed artists, while his extensive recorded catalogue includes albums such as The Road to Baghdad, Cave Town of Inkerman, Rainbow Colored Dreams, Aquamarine and Live with String Quartet.
