About Dillan Oliphant
Dillan Oliphant is an award-winning South African stand-up comedian whose understated delivery, sharp observations and carefully timed one-liners have established him as one of the country’s distinctive comedy voices. Johannesburg-based and available nationwide, Dillan has spent more than a decade developing a style that does not depend on shouting, theatrics or predictable punchlines. Instead, he lets the joke do the work, often turning ordinary situations, social quirks and personal experiences into clever pieces of comedy.
His career began in 2010, and within a few years Dillan had already made a significant impression on the South African comedy circuit. In 2012, he won Newcomer of the Year at the Comics’ Choice Awards and was selected to open for Trevor Noah on the That’s Racist tour. He went on to perform on major comedy stages, including Blacks Only, Parkers Comedy and Jive, while building television credits that include L.O.L., Comedy Central and Late Night News with Loyiso Gola. In 2026, Dillan reached another major milestone when he won Comedian of the Year and Best Solo Show at the Savanna Comics’ Choice Comedy Awards for his production Masekind.
