About Jenna Bayer
Jenna Bayer is incredibly passionate about delivering speeches on pertinent social justice topics. These social justice issues include LGBTIA+ matters, gender-based violence, sexism, social stigma and access to healthcare. In addition to this, she will share heartful stories and anecdotes of her personal journey as a transgender woman.
She is currently an ambassador for the Thuli Madonsela Foundation whose motto is “Democracy for all”. Jenna continues to champion the rights of gender-based violence victims as well as well as LGBTQIA+ people. She has been a regular guest on numerous television and radio stations such as SABC news, Newzroom Afrika, 702 talk radio and SAFM. She believes that the media plays a crucial role in a democracy.
Jenna utilises the media as a tool to speak about injustices like gender-based violence, homophobia, transphobia and sexism.
